We love the poor because God loves the poor

The call to love the poor is clear in scripture. God’s desire is for the widow, the orphan, the hungry, the poor, the exploited and the outcast to find their value and worth in who He created them to be and to find a place that they belong in His family; and He desires that we, you and I, become the catalyst for seeing that happen in our world. As we work to love and serve the poor, we watch as God restores them on every level; addressing their very real physical need for rescue, relationship, resources and recovery while also restoring their hearts and minds, giving them every tool necessary to bloom as the people he created them to be.
